The American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification course prepares course participants to quickly recognize and treat life-threatening emergencies such as heart attack, cardiac arrest and choking in adults, children, and infants by performing high-quality chest compressions, deliberate ventilation, and timely use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
This interactive, hands-on course is for those who require a BLS certification and work in a healthcare setting or are preparing to enter the healthcare field. This class addresses both PRE hospital emergencies and in-hospital Code Blue situations.
The American Heart Association BLS Provider course is video-led with Practice While Watching components as well as ample time to practice prior to taking the skills test. Once hands-on skills are mastered a 25 question multiple-choice test will be taken. A score of 84% or better is required to receive an AHA course completion card.
Our knowledgeable and enthusiastic BLS Instructor will ensure each course participant has the skills required to assist in an emergency, should the unfortunate need arise.
There are no prerequisites to taking the AHA BLS Provider course.
