Arizona Premier CPR provides American Heart Association BLS Instructor training for qualified candidates who want to teach BLS and Heartsaver courses.
The instructor pathway includes prerequisite approval, AHA Instructor Essentials training, hands-on instructor development, and a required monitoring session before the instructor process is complete.
The BLS Instructor pathway is intended for individuals who already have strong BLS knowledge and skills and want to teach American Heart Association courses.

Your instructor eCard is issued after all applicable requirements have been successfully completed and your instructor alignment is finalized.

The Arizona Premier CPR BLS Instructor Training program is designed to guide qualified candidates through the instructor-development process.

Additional AHA materials, course videos, training equipment, student materials, course completion cards, and other resources needed to independently teach classes are not automatically included unless specifically stated.
Completing instructor training does not automatically provide all of the equipment and teaching resources needed to conduct future AHA courses.
Once you begin teaching, you are responsible for having access to the current AHA-required instructor materials, course videos or authorized streaming access, and appropriate training equipment for each course you conduct.

Completing the Instructor Course is not the final step in becoming an AHA Instructor.
After instructor training, each candidate must successfully complete a monitored teaching session. During monitoring, you will teach an applicable AHA provider course while being observed and evaluated by qualified AHA Faculty.
Monitoring allows Faculty to evaluate your ability to:
Arizona Premier CPR asks instructor candidates to complete their monitoring session within three months of the Instructor Course whenever possible.
Your instructor credentialing is not complete until the required monitoring and applicable AHA requirements have been successfully completed.
You do not need to own a CPR training business to become an AHA Instructor.
Instructors may teach through employers, healthcare organizations, schools, community organizations, established training businesses, or other approved settings.
However, all AHA Instructors must operate through an authorized AHA Training Center. Your Training Center provides oversight related to instructor alignment, course administration, certification cards, AHA policies, instructor updates, and other program requirements.
If you plan to teach independently, you are also responsible for obtaining the appropriate equipment, materials, insurance, facilities, and other business resources needed to conduct courses properly.
Arizona Premier CPR will review Training Center alignment and teaching expectations with qualified instructor candidates during the application process.
The first step is completing the Arizona Premier CPR Instructor Questionnaire.
The questionnaire helps us review your current BLS certification, experience, training goals, and readiness to begin the instructor process. After your information is reviewed, we will contact you with the appropriate next steps for prerequisite completion, instructor training, scheduling, and monitoring.
Instructor Training: $425
Includes the BLS Digital Instructor Manual and instructor-development support provided through Arizona Premier CPR.
Instructor Courses are scheduled individually based on candidate eligibility, completion of prerequisites, and instructor availability.
Please plan to schedule your Instructor Course at least two weeks in advance whenever possible.
Required prerequisite documents and online course components must be completed before the applicable instructor-training session.

If you plan to conduct your own courses, you must have access to the appropriate training equipment required for the classes you teach.
The instructor-training fee covers the Arizona Premier CPR instructor-training program and included materials specified at registration. Equipment, additional AHA teaching resources, course videos, student materials, and other operational expenses are separate unless specifically stated.
